Undersell and Overdeliver

Updated: Jan 2, 2024

Whether you're deciding how many scripts to read a week, how many hours to spend watching YouTube videos and listening to Podcasts, or your letting a client know when you plan to submit your completed job - undersell and overdeliver.

This is an industry of Quality of time over Quantity of time. You can do a lot in a little bit of time. Even when you hear people say "the more your audition the more you book," don't believe that for face value. It's actually the more QUALITY auditions you do, the more you book. And that requires quality training (aka don't run and grab equipment and a pay to play site registration without any form of training), quality recording and auditioning, and quality communication and follow up with potential, current, and future clients.

Time is one of the biggest hesitations people have when it comes to getting started in VO. But it truake as much time as people think, and we all - for the most part - have the time available to devote to it.

What will you devote to Voice Over this week, and how can you maximize the time?
